The 5 Biological Laws

by Dr.  Ryke Geerd Hamer

The First Law  The Iron Rule of Cancer

Every disease starts with a conflict shock or a sudden, unexpected emotional stress.  He believed the body reacts to emotional trauma with s physical program he named SBS (Significant Biological Special Program). This program is what medicine calls disease.

  • Example: Losing someone or a deep fear might trigger a specific physical change in the body.

The Second Law   The Two-Phase Process

Every disease has two phases if the person resolves the emotional conflict.

In the Conflict Active phase, the conflict is active.  The person is stressed and the body reacts with compulsive thinking about the conflict, cold hands, increased blood pressure, elevated heartbeat, faster breathing, poor sleep, lack of appetite and changes in tissue.

The Healing phase begins when the conflict is resolved. The body repairs itself and stress turns into all day fatigue, compulsive thinking ends, there is emotional relief, warm hands, poor circulation, fever, inflammation and larger appetite.

If a conflict is not resolved, a person may become progressively weaker leading to death from exhaustion.

The Third Law    The Ontogenetic System of Tumors and Germ Layer Order

The type of disease a peson will have, depends on which part of the brain controls the affected organ.  Different organs and tissues correlate to different embryonic germ layers  (ectoderm, mesoderm, endoderm).

    • In simple terms: He tried to connect the body’s reactions to how our organs developed in the womb.

The Fourth Law    The Ontogenetic System of Microbes

Microbes like fungi, bacteria and viruses help the body heal, instead of causing disease.  He claimed they are helpers that assist in tissue repair during the healing phase and are part of the body’s natural recovery process.

The Fifth Law   The Biological Reason for “Diseases”

      • What Hamer said: Every “disease” has a biological purpose — it’s not a mistake, but a meaningful program for survival.
      • In simple terms: The body’s reactions, even illnesses, serve a natural, meaningful function to help you adapt or heal.

“Illness is not random or bad luck — it’s the body’s intelligent response to emotional conflict, working to restore balance.”

Dr. Hamer’s theories are not scientifically proven or medically recognized, and his claims have been criticized and discredited by the medical community.
You should never replace medical treatment with his methods — but you can learn about his ideas for educational purposes.
